The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

Happy Canada Day - Eh!

Happy Canada Day everyone!

On Canada Day I often remember my process of 'becoming' Canadian...for a 13 year old it was a hard process.  I soon had to get accustomed to the Canadian 'eh's' to the theatrics of teenage living in a new country...and learning the ways of being within a culture that was foreign to me...only after 7 years of living in Canada, after my high school days were over, and off I went to University... did I begin to feel like Canada was home, that I was home, that my heart now belonged...and that I was ready to really give it a go...
That was 20 years ago now....of feeling Canadian, of loving the Canadian life.  I love how we embrace diversity, we celebrate cultural exchange and sharing...and we do really care -- perhaps the concept of 'compassion' is lived and witnessed more often than not here in Canada...I am proud to be Canadian, to have my English and East Indian Heritage..all of which leaves me feeling rich in cultural experience that I can pass along and share with others.  Happy celebrating living here in Canada and your rich heritage...I have nothing but gratitude for the blessings I have here in Canada.  Thank you!
